Yorkshire Chemical Focus is a not-for-profit, commercially led company and is supported by regional development agency Yorkshire Forward.

YCF was formed in 2005 in response to a need within the industry to encourage growth and productivity within the area.

Fast forward to 2011 and YCF continues to develop and offers industry led benefits to chemical producers and chemical users within the Yorkshire area and the rest of the UK.

As YCF expands membership geographically and increases the benefits we offer, we will continue to work with businesses and become a real voice for the industry.

Our members value YCF for the information, opportunities and networking we provide. We are proud to be valued by our members and proud to play our part in this vibrant and diverse industry.

Our key activities, as determined by the industry, are:
• Commercial advantages of collective action – enabling members to co-operate in areas such as sourcing and buying raw materials and sharing best practice to reduce costs.
• Regulation – consultation, advice and information on new regulations and legislation relevant to the chemical industry.
• Image – promoting the benefits and values of the chemical industry to the public and decision makers; influencing government and other bodies.
• Skills – links with local schools, colleges, universities and training organisations to build a skilled workforce for the future and to encourage innovation.
• Networking – providing opportunities for learning and networking at seminar events e.g. REACH, Responsible Care Cell, Personal Care Programme, Manufacturing Excellence Programme and the YCF Annual Event
