FaraPack Polymers was established in June 2004 as a joint venture between The University of Sheffield’s Polymer Centre and the Faraday Packaging Partnership. The company was set up to fill the observed gap in the market between academic consultancy and a longer term doctoral or post doctoral position. We offer short to medium term polymer research development and problem solving, on the timescales of a few days to a few months.
FaraPack Polymers has access to a wealth of resources from The Polymer Centre, and the Polymer IRC, a collaboration between Sheffield, Durham, Bradford and Leeds Universities which form one of the largest groupings of Polymer Specialists in Europe.
FaraPack Polymers Ltd undertakes proof of concept and trouble-shooting work in the area of polymeric materials. Services offered include:
- feasibility studies
- polymer testing and analysis
- literature searches
- technical problem-solving
- speciality polymer synthesis
- design of new materials
- evaluation and development of new materials
- formulation
- process optimisation
- expert witness work
We provide unique access to facilities and expertise to aid companies in problem solving, innovation, analysis and testing facilities, materials research and resources.
