YCF along with the CIA, Chemical Sciences Scotland, Chemical Northwest, Humber Chemical Focus and NEPIC we have, last week written to all the MPs in the North East region, congratulating them on their election to the House of Commons, and to seek their support for the national strategy for chemical and pharmaceutical businesses in the UK.
Representing over 600,000 high quality jobs and more than £200m/day to the UK's balance of trade, these partners are keen to stress the importance of our industry to the economy and society at large.
With an increased focus on modern, low carbon manufacturing, industry is committed to working with local MPs and officials to ensure the UK becomes a competitive location as possible for the businesses and jobs we represent.
